DIRECTIONS TO HOLIDAY SURF & RACQUET CLUB:
If you travel to Destin via the Midbay toll bridge, you’ll reach Highway 98 shortly after crossing the bridge (heading south). At Hwy 98,
take a right, heading west. Travel west on Hwy 98 for about 3 miles. When you pass “Big Kahuna” water park on your right, you’ll
want to get into the left lane. Soon you’ll come to the intersection of Hwy 98 and Gulf Shore Drive. This is a large intersection with a
stop light (on the right is “98 Palms”, a large shopping center, and on the left is “Shoreline Mall” shopping center). At this light take a
left onto Gulf Shore Drive. About one mile down Gulf Shore Drive, you’ll see Holiday Surf and Racquet Club on your left at 510 Gulf
Shore Drive. (Look for the sign out front.)
ON ARRIVAL:
At the condo, enter the ground floor lobby and take the elevator to the seventh floor. When you exit the elevator, you’ll see a sign
directing you to take the left fork. Our condo is UNIT 716.
You do not need to “check-in”, but you must obtain a temporary parking pass, as “guest of the owner” at the front desk. You should
be able to find carts in a closet off the lobby which you can use for unloading and getting luggage to the condo.
CLEANING AND LINENS:
The unit will be cleaned before and after your stay, and an initial set-up of linens is provided. (You will have bath towels, hand towels,
washcloths and kitchen linens.) Be sure to bring your own beach towels, as our linens are to stay in the condo, and if you like frequent
linen changes, you might want to bring extra bath towels, etc. There are coin-operated laundry machines on the 4th and 6th floors of
the complex, should you need to wash linens. Note: The on-site “linen exchange” is only for the use of renters using the on-site rental
service; it is not for the use of our renters.
On your checkout day, the cleaning service requires that you take the trash down to the dumpsters in the parking lot on your way out.
Also, please rinse food off dishes and run the dishwasher. You do not need to wash linens prior to your departure. They also ask that if
you use the sofa bed, please strip all linens except for the mattress pad before you close it up when leaving, and leave the soiled linens
on the floor. We have an electric broom & upright vacuum in the condo for your convenience in keeping the floor tidy during the week
if you wish to use them.
SUPPLIES:
On your arrival you will find 1 roll of toilet tissue, 1 bar of bath soap, hand soap, liquid dish soap and dishwasher detergent. You will want
to bring your own paper towels, Kleenex, additional toilet tissue, plastic trash bags, etc. from home. There is a Target store and a Winn-
Dixie grocery store about a mile from our place too.
MAINTENANCE:
If any maintenance-type problems occur during your stay, please contact me first at 763-441-1127 (home) or 612-770-7831 (Mark's cell)
or the on-site maintenance supervisor, Gus Sininger at 850-654-0212 (his office is on the fifth floor, just off the elevators).
TELEPHONE:
The telephone number in our condo is 850-837-4271. An answering machine is provided for your convenience. You are free to make
local calls at no charge, but please use your cell phone, a calling card or call collect for long distance.
